Save the Date!

Jonda 100th Year Anniversary

Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th

It’s hard to believe that in 1923 six students launched our fraternity Eta Phi Mu Fraternity. We are excited to announce the reunion celebrating our 100th year! We are sharing this information early so that you can plan to attend. Everyone is invited to all scheduled activities and you can bring spouses or a friend to share in the celebration.

There will be several opportunities to connect and have fellowship with your JONDA brothers old and new. Below is a preview of our plans of the weekend:

Friday, September 15th

During the day: Jonda Golf Outing (RSVP todd.mork@kbs-services.com) about $75 per person and BTOB.

530p: Happy Hour Gathering: Location TBA

Saturday, September 16th

11a: Homecoming Parade

12p: House Meeting After Parade (Alumni and Actives)

530p: Reception and Dinner at Roush Hall 630p. 27 S. Grove St. Westerville OH 43081

Other events are being finalized and details will be forthcoming.

We also have announced the establishment of the Eta Phi Mu Endowment Fund. Each year about 4% of the funds earnings will go to an active Jonda member. We need your help to reach the minimum endowment level of $25,000. We already have pledges of $15,000 and hope to reach our goal on our 100th Anniversary. Jonda will select which active receives the annual award. For those of you that may need it for tax purposes, Otterbein’s Tax ID is 31-4379532.

Hope to see you at the event!

Dear Members and Friends of Jonda,

With hopes of leaving a special legacy, we launched a philanthropic opportunity to support future members of Jonda. The Eta Phi Mu Endowed Fund is a special initiative to honor the many member of this beloved fraternity. A scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving fraternity brother based on the application criteria with preference given to students who are eligible for financial aid and members in good standing within the chapters. Once the fund reaches its minimum level to be a permanent part of the university’s endowment, about four percent of the fund’s earning will go to a Jonda member each year.

We need your help to reach the minimum endowment level - so far $15,000 has been raised toward the $25,000 total. We appreciate your support! Besides making a charitable gift through check or credit card, there are some other ways to support the Eta Phi Mu Endowment Scholarship:

  • Make a sustainer or multi-year pledge, either monthly, quarterly or annually,

  • Make a gift of stock, IRA charitable rollover, or establish a charitable gift annuity,

  • Make a deferred gift through a planned bequest gift.

All gifts and pledges made by December 31, 2023 will be recognized as our grand giving total. Let’s show everyone the generous spirit of our fraternity and help inspire others! For more information see www.otterbein.com/give or contact Kathleen Bonte at kbonte@otterbein.edu or (614)823-2707.

Enclosed are two different forms of giving. The slip form is for a one-time donation and the full page is for multi-year pledge. For example, you can pledge $1,500 over a three-year period making your payments each year in $500 increments.

With all that Otterbein has provided us, we would be honored to have you join us in supporting future generations of Otterbein Eta Phi Mu students. More details about our special 100th Anniversary renuion will be coming your way. Please save the dates September 15-17, 2023. We look forward to seeing you back on campus next fall to celebrate.
